As
I stated on November 5th, I intend to keep working at
scanning copies of death certificate made at the State Archives in
years past. These are my grandfather's brother and his wife. They
were both born in Prussia, which became a part of the German Empire
in 1871, so at the time of their deaths it was called Germany. They
both died in Halsey area, Linn County, Oregon.
You
may notice Charles' wife has more than one spelling for her name.
Odelia is what is on her gravestone. Also there is a double stone for
them at Alford Cemetery between Halsey and Harrisburg. It is probable
that her body was moved from the Pioneer Cemetery near Halsey after
her husband was buried at Alford. I find it interesting that one of
their sons, Chris Falk, was the informant for his father's
certificate and one of their married daughters, Paulina Seefeld, was
the informant for her mother's certificate.
